A Brief History of the Roland TB-303 Bassline

A documentary short on the TB-303, the monophonic bass synth Roland made from 1981 to 1984 and gave up on. It covers the design under Tadao Kikumoto, the commercial failure, and the second life the machine found in Chicago. The squelch it produces is the single most recognisable sound in acid house.
