Codex Carafianus
1550
Image of the Codex Carafianus as found in Quentin's book (raw JP2 version cropped). It is a 1583 edition of the w:Leuven Vulgate (Genesis ch. 23-24) corrected by the commission established by Sixtus V under the presidency of cardinal Carafa. Quentin writes that the original printed readings and notes in the margins of the Leuven Vulgate have been strikethrough. See the unmodified 1583 Leuven Vulga
