As the dust settles in Seychelles after the elections, we’ve sprung into action to mobilise the international community and keep the pressure on the incoming government. The fight for Aldabra doesn’t end at the ballot box - we follow through. We exist to protect Aldabra, once and for all. That’s why we’re at the @iucn_congress demanding accountability and placing an international magnifying glass on what’s happening on Assomption. We’re here to make sure that the global conservation community follows in the footsteps of the Seychelles electorate, to demand transparency and stop destructive development now, and in the future. Thank you to @reservaylt for helping us submit this new and urgent motion, one of the only entirely youth-governed initiatives to do so, and our co-sponsors for standing with us. We couldn’t have done it without the leadership of Reserva Youth Council Member @pebble_ginger The elections may be over, but our work is not. The motion is co-sponsored by 14 organisations: @mission_blue @rewild @the_explorers_club @earthlawcenter @officialzsl @turtlesurvival @bluemarinefoundation @yourbgci @wildlifedirect @mrfasia @womenforconservation @ontheedge_org @durrell_jerseyzoo and @fundacion_ecominga #ProtectAldabra #SaveAldabra
